Govt lists 20 new bills for Budget session including PFRDA Amendment Bill

Jan. 31: The Budget session of Parliament began on Monday and is scheduled to conclude on April 8 with a recess in-between from February 12 to March 13. Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the fourth Budget of the Modi 2.0 government on February 1, 2022. The focus of the Budget is expected to be on further accelerating India’s pace of recovery from the pandemic shock along with shoring up India’s healthcare system to secure against any future outbreaks.

LIST OF BILLS LIKELY TO BE TAKEN UP DURING THE BUDGET SESSION, 2022:

I – LEGISLATIVE BUSINESS

  1. The Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2022
  2. The Competition (Amendment) Bill, 2022
  3. The Cantonment Bill, 2022
  4. The Indian Antarctica Bill, 2022
  5. The Emigration Bill, 2022
  6. The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (Amendment) Bill, 2022
  7. The National Dental Commission Bill, 2022
  8. The Identification of Prisoners Bill, 2022
  9. The Metro Rail (Construction, Operation and Maintenance) Bill, 2022
  10. The Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2022
  11. The Energy Conservation (Amendment) Bill, 2022
