Govt fully prepared to conduct HSLC & HS; schedule of HS to be announced soon: Ranoj Pegu

Jan. 16: With spike in Covid-19 cases in the state, there has been speculations among students and guardians regarding the conduct of HSLC and HS Examinations this year. The exams were supposed to begin in the month of March 2022. However, Education Minister Ranoj Pegu cleared the air and stated that the exams will definitely be held this year.

The state government is fully prepared to conduct the forthcoming HSLC and HS examinations. The exam schedule of HSLC has already been declared whereas the schedule for HS will also be declared in a day or two. This was said by state Education Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu while interacting with the media on Sunday. He also added that before the commencement of the examination, the students will be fully vaccinated and so there won’t be any difficulty in conducting the exams. The exams will be held in offline mode abiding all Covid protocols.

Board of Secondary Education (SEBA), Assam has announced the exam schedule of High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Assam High Madrassa (AHM) examinations, 2022. The examination will begin on 15 March and conclude on on March 31, 2022. The practical exams will, however, be held on 4 and 5 March, 2022. As per the Education Minister, the exam schedule will be announced soon.

It needs mention here that last year due to the sudden spike in Covid cases HSLC and HS examinations in the state were cancelled and the results were declared on the basis of their internal tests.
