‘Get tested, those who came in contact with me in last 7 days’: Dr. Monica Deb

July 6: On Monday, eminent Gynecologist, Dr. Monika Deb tested COVID-19 positive. She is the second doctor after Arina Raha to be positive from Silchar. As a responsible citizen and a doctor with concern for her patients, Dr. Monica Deb took to social media and informed about being COVID-19 positive. She urged upon all those who came in contact with her in the last 7 days to get themselves tested.

Dr. Monica Deb wrote on her Facebook wall, ” This is to inform to whoever concerned that I am tested positive for COVID-19. Anybody who came in contact with me in last 7 days can very well report the administration and test yourself. My patients safety is my concern. I do not have any social visits. I went to GREEN HEALS HOSPITAL for all admitted patients and JEEVAN JYOTI hospital for my outdoor. Few patients were seen at Medicare Medicos (opposite Lifeline Hospital).

Within a span of 10 hours, the post of Dr.Deb became viral and was shared by 475 Facebook users. Her post was flooded with comments primarily wishing her a quick recovery. Another netizen wrote, “Appreciate your alertness to announce your positive news to help others. Wishing you a healthy and rapid recovery.”
