Gautam Roy is special, we will give ₹150 crore for only roads of Katigorah, says Himanta Biswa Sarma

March 27: Gautam Roy is special and so the development of Katigorah under him will be special. I assure to give Rs. 150 crore for the development of roads of Katigorah. We will provide more money for other development projects in Katigorah. But to see that development you know need to vote for Gautam Roy in large numbers and make him victorious. This was said by heavyweight BJP leader during an electoral rally at Katigorah in Cachar on Saturday.

He further went on to say that behind Gautam Roy is our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and so people should not go with the Congress who has Badar Uddin Ajmal along with them. “When Gautam Roy was in Katlicherra, he worked a lot forthe development of Katlicherra; and now, once victorious, he will work for the all round development of Katigorah.”

Himanta Biswa Sarma then counted on the development measures undertaken by the BJP government in the last 5 years. He said that while the Congress government gave rice to the poor at the rate of Rs. 3 per kg. But now, the BJP is giving rice to the poor free of cost. He also said that henceforth under Orunodoi scheme, BJP will give Rs.3000 per month to the beneficiaries instead of Rs. 830. He also assured of waiving off the micro finance loans taken by the poor people. He also assured of giving 1 lakh jobs in the coming year.

“From the forthcoming academic year, girl students of Tea Garden areas will be provided scooty on securing even 2nd division. This facility will only be available to the students of tea garden areas. He said that from now onwards students of college and university on doing good result will also be provided scooty,” added the BJP leader.

Criticising the 5 assured guarantees announced by the Congress, Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Congress has now announced its 5 guarantees for the people when they were rejected by the people of Assam. Good companies like Godrej never gives guarantee. Companies like TATA never gives guarantee. Only those which are fraud gives guarantee. “When Santosh Mohan Dev was the king, Sushmita Dev was the queen, they did not think of giving guarantee. When they have been thrown out of power, they are now saying that they will give guarantee,” added Himanta Biswa Sarma.
