G.C. College starts Diploma in Creative Writing in English

ইংরেজিতে সৃজনশীল লেখালেখি বা ক্রিয়েটিভ রাইটিংইন ইংলিশ-এ এক বছরের ডিপ্লোমা কোর্স চালু করল শিলচরের গুরুচরণ কলেজ। আজ আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে এর উদ্বোধন হয়। কলেজ পরিচালন সমিতির সভাপতি জ্যোতিলাল চৌধুরী আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে এর উদ্বোধন করেন। তিনি বলেন, কলেজের ৮৩ বছরে আজ একটি ঐতিহাসিক দিন। এই কোর্সের মাধ্যমে বহু ছাত্র নিজেদের জায়গা তৈরি করে নিতে পারবেন বলে তিনি আশা করছেন।

ইংরেজি বিভাগের প্রধান অধ্যাপক পান্থপ্রিয় ধর জানান, প্রথম ব্যাচে ৪২ জন নাম লিখিয়েছেন। উত্তর-পূর্বে এমন উদ্যোগ এই প্রথম বলেই তিনি মন্তব্য করেন।

G.C. College, Silchar has started a one year Diploma Course in Creative Writing in English. This course was formally inaugurated by Sri Jyotilal Choudhury, President, Governing Body of the college. In his speech, Sri Choudhury said that it was a glorious moment in the 83 years’ illustrious history of the college. He expressed the hope that many students would be able to carve a niece for them by doing this diploma course. Dr. Pantho Priya Dhar, Head, Department of English said that 42 students have already enrolled their names in the first batch. He also said that this is the first of its kind venture in the entire North East India.
