From now on 50+ Covid patients would not be allowed home isolation easily
May 16: The Government of Assam has laid down new rules for Covid-19 patients above the age of 50 years. From now on, such people will not be allowed home isolation easily.
In this context, the Chief Minister, Dr. Himanta Bishwa Sarma, said, “If such 50 plus Covid patients have a car in their house, have a private bedroom or can check the oxygen level on their own by using an oxymeter, then only the health department will allow them home isolation or else they will have to seek admission in hospitals.” The Chief Minister further added that the district authorities need to look at a lot of things while allowing home isolation to such category of coronavirus patients.
