From 10 Oct, amount of Arunodoi scheme to be increased from ₹1,000 to ₹1,250

July 19: The Arunodoi beneficiaries from 10 October onwards shall get an additional amount of Rs.250. This would enhance the amount of Arunodoi scheme from Rs.1,000 to Rs.1,250. The additional amount of Rs.250 shall be spent by the beneficiaries in paying electricity bill. This was stated by Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday.

The Chief Minister further stated that 6,000 new families will also be brought under the ambit of Arunodoi scheme.
