Free Health Camp by Assam University at Ghungoor Kuarpar, 52 Patients Treated
ঘুংঘুর কুয়ারপারে আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বিনামূল্যে স্বাস্থ্য শিবির, চিকিৎসা ৫২ জনের

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ৬ মার্চ : আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সমাজকর্ম বিভাগের উদ্যোগে শুক্রবার ঘুংঘুর কুয়ারপার এলাকার দুর্গামণ্ডপে বিনামূল্যে এক স্বাস্থ্য পরীক্ষা শিবির অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। কাছাড়ের জাতীয় স্বাস্থ্য অভিযান ও সোনাই খণ্ড প্রাথমিক স্বাস্থ্যকেন্দ্রের সহযোগিতায় আয়োজিত এই শিবিরে মোট ৫২ জন রোগী বিনামূল্যে চিকিৎসা পরিষেবা গ্রহণ করেন। এর মধ্যে ৩৬ জন মহিলা ও ১৬ জন পুরুষ ছিলেন।

শিবিরে রক্তচাপ ও রক্তে শর্করার মাত্রা পরীক্ষাসহ প্রাথমিক স্বাস্থ্য পরীক্ষা করে চিকিৎসার পরামর্শ প্রদান করা হয়। এদিন রোগীদের জ্বর, কাশি, সর্দি, শরীর ব্যথা, দুর্বলতা, অম্লতা, ত্বকের সংক্রমণ এবং উচ্চ রক্তচাপের মতো সমস্যারও চিকিৎসা করা হয়। কিছু প্রবীণ ব্যক্তি চোখ ও দৃষ্টিসংক্রান্ত সমস্যার কথাও জানান। এক শিশুর কানের সংক্রমণ ধরা পড়ে।

রোগীদের প্রয়োজনীয় ওষুধ বিতরণের পাশাপাশি পুষ্টি, ব্যক্তিগত পরিচ্ছন্নতা এবং প্রতিরোধমূলক স্বাস্থ্যচর্চা সম্পর্কে পরামর্শ দেওয়া হয়। সোনাই খণ্ড প্রাথমিক স্বাস্থ্যকেন্দ্রের চিকিৎসক ডা: জেহেরুল ইসলাম চিকিৎসা পরিষেবা প্রদান করেন। তাঁকে সহযোগিতা করেন স্বাস্থ্যকর্মী রাহুল দত্ত, বিজয়া নুনিসা ও নার্স শেফালি মজুমদার।

এই স্বাস্থ্য শিবিরের দায়িত্বে ছিলেন আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সমাজকর্ম বিভাগের অধ্যাপক ড. ক্যাথিরেসন। শিবিরটি সফল ভাবে সম্পন্ন হওয়ায় চিকিৎসক ও স্থানীয় বাসিন্দাদের প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করেছেন সমাজকর্ম বিভাগের প্রধান অধ্যাপক তরুণ বিকাশ সুকাই।

Way2barak, March 6 : A free health check-up camp was organized on Friday at the Durga Mandap in the Ghungoor Kuarpar area under the initiative of the Department of Social Work of Assam University. The camp was conducted with the support of the National Health Mission, Cachar, and the Sonai Block Primary Health Centre.
A total of 52 patients availed free medical services at the camp, including 36 women and 16 men. Blood pressure and blood sugar levels were checked, and basic health examinations were carried out along with medical advice for the patients.

During the camp, treatment and consultations were provided for ailments such as fever, cough, cold, body pain, weakness, acidity, skin infections and high blood pressure. Some elderly patients also reported eye and vision-related problems, while an ear infection was detected in a child.

Along with providing necessary medicines, patients were also advised on nutrition, personal hygiene and preventive healthcare practices. Medical services were provided by Dr. Zeherul Islam of the Sonai Block Primary Health Centre. He was assisted by health workers Rahul Dutta and Bijoya Nunisa, along with nurse Shefali Mazumdar.

The camp was coordinated by Dr. Kathiresan, Professor of the Department of Social Work at Assam University. Expressing gratitude for the successful organization of the camp, Prof. Tarun Bikash Sukai, Head of the Department of Social Work, thanked the doctor and the local residents for their cooperation.
