Foundation stone of anti-erosion scheme laid for restoration of damages done by river Katakhal

Jan. 11: The foundation stone of an anti-erosion scheme, namely, Restoration of Nandigram area from flood damages of river Katakhal on its right bank was laid by MLA Borkhola Kishor Nath in presence of MP Silchar Dr. Rajdeep Roy and Deputy Commissioner, Cachar, Keerthi Jalli. The project was sanctioned by the Water Resources Department, Government of Assam. The scheme will be implemented at an estimated cost of Rs. 757.96 lakh.
