Former SP Vaibhav Nimbalkar underwent 2nd surgery in Mumbai, to stand on his feet on Friday
Aug 5: Former Superintendent of Police, Cachar, Vaibhav Nimbalkar sustained bullet injuries during the firing by Mizoram forces on 26 July at Lailapur in Assam- Mizoram border. The bullet embedded Police Super was initially admitted in the ICU at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) from where he was airlifted to Mumbai for better treatment. At present he is admitted at Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai and is showing signs of improvement.
On 5 August, wife of the IPS officer, Anuja Vaibhav taking to Instagram informed, “By the grace of Shri Satguru and with heartfelt gratitude, I’m extremely happy to share that Vaibhav underwent a second successful internal fixation surgery at Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai for his hip fractures this afternoon. Doctors have shown confidence that he will be standing on his feet by tomorrow.”
Acknowledging her gratitude, Anuja Vaibhav further wrote, “To family, friends, doctors, seniors, colleagues, Namdharak, well-wishers, each and everyone of you who have prayed for Vaibhav’s recovery, we thank you for keeping us in your thoughts. Your support, blessings and prayers have been monumental in our journey.”
It needs mention here that during the brutal attack by Mizo forces, one of the Personal Security Officer (PSO) of Vaibhav Nimbalkar also lost his life in the attack by the Mizo forces along with 5 more Assam Police personnel.
