Fogging done at various parts of Silchar town
July 4: The aftermath of the devastating flood saw heaps of garbage at various parts of Silchar. There are chances that such garbage heaps become breeding grounds of mosquitoes and other insects. It is in this backdrop that Fogging was done at Nahata Point towards Pemtola Point, Nag Naha Lane, Narshing Road East/ West, College Tilla, Jail Road, Durga Shankar Lane, Hitesh Biswas Road, Moulabi Road, Ullashkar Dutta Lane, Church Road on Monday evening.
Fogging, as the term suggests, uses disinfectant sprayed from a Fogging machine to create what looks like fog in an area. It is an effective way to disinfect high levels of horizontal surfaces, hard to reach areas that are often missed or forgotten and small, and confined spaces such as extractor units. Fogging is a technique used for killing insects that involves using a fine pesticide spray (aerosol) which is directed by a blower.
