Flood: Sonai to Sonabarighat road at Nagatilla point closed for vehicular traffic

May 18: Due to submergence of NH-54 ( Silchar- Lailapur Section) at Auliabazar Area (5th KM) and Silchar Bypass Point near Sonabarighat (8 KM) by flood water being inundated from river Barak and crossing thereof with heavy current, this NH-54 is closed for movement of all types of vehicular traffic at Nagatilla Point (5 KM) coming from Silchar side and at Sonabarighat Point (9 KM) coming from Aizawl side with immediate effect until further order. This was stated in an order by the Executive Engineer,PWRD, Dholai and Sonai Territorial Road Division on 18 May, 2022.
