Flag hoisting ceremony at Table Tennis Club, Udharbond on its 29th Foundation Day
June 2: The 29th Foundation Day of Table Tennis Club, Udharbond was celebrated in a simple manner on Wednesday. With full allegiance to the Covid protocols, the Flag hoisting ceremony was concluded in the club premises at 9.30 in the morning. Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, no other programme was held during the day. The committee members, players and well wishers were present during the flag hoisting ceremony maintaining safe distance. Among others, Vice President of TT Club Bishnu Pada Paul, General Secretary Pranabananda Das, AGS Administration Partha Pratim Deb, Indoor Secretary Sanjib Sharma graced the occasion.
During the 1st wave of Covid-19, the prestigious TT Club of Udharbond had to remain closed for 61 days. Amid the 2nd wave of coronavirus, the club was closed from 26 April to 1 May. After this temporary gap, the TT Club will start its activities although in a truncated way from 2 June. The club will now conduct the coaching sessions only in the morning and that too with only two paddlers and a coach. Full safety measures will be adhered to while conducting the sessions, said the club executives.
