Executive Officer, SMB appeals residents of Ward No.9 to verify dues

Nov.7: Executive Officer of Silchar Municipal Board (SMB), Sumit Sattawan on Saturday appealed to all the residents of Ward No.9 to verify if their deposited money has been duly credited with the SMB. Sattawan also assured the residents that there is nothing to panic or worry as any mismatch in amount will be the sole responsibility of the guarantor. He urged all to come forward and verify their dues with the SMB.

Sattawan further said that several complaints were received regarding non submission of tax money by the then tax collector Late Sayan Das. “These tax collectors were appointed by the previous board on commission basis on guarantee of concerned ward commissioner. Accordingly, the guarantor for tax collector of Ward No.9 is Ranjan Roy, former ward commissioner (Ward No.9),” he said. This was stated in a Press Release issued from DDIPR Office, Silchar.
