Empowering voices: Special meeting for child rights & welfare held at Lakhipur
way2barak, December 19:– A significant meeting was held on Wednesday at the conference hall of the co-district commissioner’s office in Fulertal, Lakhipur. The session was attended by Ajay Dutta, Member of the Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (ASCPCR), and Lakshyajeet Gogoi, the assistant commissioner. Various departmental officials also marked their presence.
The primary focus of the meeting was to discuss the upcoming Grand Assembly of Children and Guardians slated for December 27, at the same venue. This event aims to address the grievances of guardians and children deprived of governmental benefits.
During the event, guardians will have the opportunity to submit written complaints regarding issues such as housing under the (PMAY)prime minister abbas yojana, ration card discrepancies, lack of cooking gas connections, and other governmental schemes. Additionally, any severe complaints involving children can also be reported by socially conscious guardians.
