Electricity tariff reduced category wise

way2barak March 26: The electricity tariffs have been reduced in the state of Assam. The new tariffs will be applicable from April 1. There will be a Re. 1 per unit reduction in electricity tariffs for all domestic consumers, providing them much needed relief before peak summer sets in.

On the other hand the agricultural, industrial and commercial tariffs will go down by 25p/unit. This was another budget promise that has been fulfilled.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, informed about the reductions of the tariffs on his official X handle and wrote, “Effective April 1, there will be a ₹1/unit reduction in electricity tariffs for all domestic consumers, providing them much needed relief before peak summer sets in.”
