Black marketing of mask in Silchar! Magisterial enquiry ordered
মাস্ক নিয়ে কালোবাজারি, ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট তদন্ত ঘোষণা

৬ মার্চ: করোনা ভাইরাস ভারতে থাবা বসাতেই ইনহেলার মাস্ক নিয়ে কালোবাজারি শুরু হয়ে গিয়েছে৷ বাজার থেকে সমস্ত মাস্ক সরিয়ে নিয়ে  ফার্মেসিগুলো চড়া দাম হাঁকছে৷ ৩০ টাকার মাস্ক দিয়ে ৩০০ টাকা পর্যন্ত আদায় করে নিচ্ছে৷ এর কোনও ক্যাশমেমোও দেওয়া হয় না৷

মাস্ক নিয়ে বেশি বিপাকে হাঁপানি সহ অন্যান্য শ্বাসজনিত রোগীরা৷ এমনই এক রোগীর অভিভাবক শিলচরের এক জে কে এন্টারপ্রাইজ ও জে কে মেডিকেয়ারের বিরুদ্ধে এজাহার দিয়েছেন৷ শান্তনু রায় নামে ওই অভিযোগকারী কাছাড়ের জেলাশাসককেও নালিশ করেন৷ জেলাশাসক বর্ণালি শর্মা এ ব্যাপারে ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট তদন্তের নির্দেশ দেন৷ পুলিশ রাতে আচমকা ওই ফার্মেসিতে তল্লাশি চালায়৷ তিন প্যাকেট মাস্ক বাজেয়াপ্ত করে৷

জেলাশাসক জানান, করোনা ভাইরাস সংক্রান্ত সমস্ত বিষয়কে বিশেষ গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হচ্ছে৷ হোটেল-লজগুলিকে কারা রয়েছেন প্রতি রাতে থানা ও সিভিল হাসপাতালে রিপোর্ট পাঠাতে বলা হয়েছে৷ বিমানবন্দরে স্বাস্থ্যকর্মীরা যাত্রীদের পরীক্ষা করে দেখছেন৷

March 6: As the number of coronavirus patients continues to grow in India, the opportunists are taking full advantage of this time of crisis by black marketing face masks and hand sanitisers. Responding to a complainant lodged by one Santanu Roy against M/S J.K enterprise  & J.K Medicare as regards selling of inhaler mask to the customers at an exorbitant price, a magisterial enquiry was initiated by the District Administration Cachar.

In this connection a raid was conducted on Thursday by a magistrate from District Administration Cachar along with a police force at the medicine store which is allegedly involved in the malpractices near Hospital Road, Silchar. The raid continued for more than 2 hours. During the raid, price of medicines, date of manufacture and expiry date of medicines were thoroughly inspected and checked.

After a threadbare search, three packets of inhaler mask were also seized along with the stock report of the store. It was informed that the magistrate will submit his findings with details to the the Deputy Commissioner of Cachar on Saturday.
