Educational institutions to be opened in Assam from 1 September in a phase manner
July 30: The State Education Department has been trying to formulate a new set of guidelines in consultation with the Health Department so that educational institutions could be opened in a staggered manner from 1 September. This was said by Health Minister, Dr Ranoj Pegu on Friday. He further stated that initially, classes will begin for students studying in IX and X. Also, the final year classes of HS 2nd year will be started. Even classes for the final semester TDC students also needs to be started.
“I have also had a talk with the Chief Minister in this regard. We have thought of opening the schools for especially students of Class IX, X & XII. Meanwhile, the Covid situation in Assam has also improved a lot. Very soon, a fresh SOP will be prepared and published in this regards so that we can reopen educational institutions from 1 September, 2021 in a phase manner,” said the state Education Minister.
