ECI delegation led by CEC arrives on a 3-day visit to Assam to review poll preparedness

Jan. 18: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of India Sunil Arora along with Election Commissioners of India Sushil Chandra and Rajiv Kumar arrived in Assam on Monday on a 3-day visit to review poll preparedness for the upcoming elections to the Assam Legislative Assembly. On Monday, after reaching Guwahati, the CEC held a meeting with Assam Chief Electoral Officer Nitin Khade and the police nodal officer in a city hotel. During their visit, the CEC and his team will hold separate meetings with the State Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, DGP, Chief Electoral Officer and Police Nodal Officer of Assam and leaders of political parties.
