EC should release CCTV footage from strong rooms to candidates, urges Assam Congress

April 7: “Many issues related to EVMs after the 2nd phase of Assam Assembly Polls has given rise to doubts in the minds of opposition parties. The Election Commission seems to work as per the wishes of the BJP.” This was stated by Assam Congress president Ripun Bora. On Wednesday, Mr.Bora stated that in order to make the system more transparent, candidates should be made available CCTV feed from strong rooms where the EVMs are kept. This would enhance the trust of the people in the EC.
