Earthquake rocks Barak Valley on Thursday midnight

Oct. 7: An earthquake jolted Assam and its adjoining areas including the three districts of Barak Valley on Thursday midnight. The earthquake measuring 5.5 (status reviewed) on the Richter scale had its origin in Myanmar and occured at 11.58 PM on Thursday. The earthquake lasted for some few seconds.

As per National Center for Seismology (NCS), it was stated, “Earthquake of Magnitude: 5.5, occurred on 07-10-2021, 11:58:04 PM, Lat: 22.25 & Long: 94.60, Depth: 90 Km ,Region: Myanmar.” However, there were no report of any casualties till the filing of this report.
