Earthquake of 4.0 magnitude jolts Hailakandi

July 18: According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), an earthquake of magnitude 4.0 on the Richter scale rocked Hailakandi in Assam on Saturday at 4.25 AM. The originated at a depth of 63 at latitude 24.74 North and longitude 92.60 East as it’s coordinates. It needs mention here that a serious of earthquakes jolted various parts of North East Region in the past week.
