Earthquake measuring 5.6 strikes Mizoram, Assam on Friday afternoon

Jan 21: An earthquake measuring 5.6 (status reviewed) on the Richter scale, jolted Mizoram, Assam and its adjoining areas at 3.42 PM on Friday. As per National Center for Seismology (NCS), it was stated, “Earthquake of Magnitude:5.6, Occurred on 21-01-2022, 15:42:32 IST, Lat: 23.10 & Long: 93.75, Depth: 60 Km ,Location: 58km SE of Champhai, Mizoram, India.” However, there were no report of any casualties.
