Earthquake measuring 4.1 jolts Tripura on Asthami morning

Oct. 24: An earthquake measuring 4.1 in the Richter scale jolted Tripura at 8.51 AM on the day of Maha Asthami of Durga Puja. The earthquake had its epicentre in Bangladesh (44 km East of Amarpur in Tripura). The quake lasted for a few seconds.

The quake occurred at a depth of 50 kilometres and the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) has marked this earthquake as ‘reviewed’ while confirming the coordinates 23.44 (latitude) and 92.08 (longitude). Till the filing of this news, there was no report of any damage.
