Earthquake measuring 3.8 rocks Bongaigaon

Sept. 19: A earthquake measuring 3.8 in the Richter scale occured at Bongaigaon in Assam at 20.18 hours on Saturday. The quake occured at a depth of 10 kms. However, there were no reports of loss of any life or property. The tremour originated at 26.24 latitude and 90.15 longitude. This was informed by National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the nodal agency of the Government of India for monitoring of earthquakes in the country.
