DU to conduct UG admissions through entrance test from next year
Dec. 17: Seeking admission in undergraduate courses (UG) in the colleges under the University of Delhi seemed to be a tough affair for many due to the exorbitant cut-off marks in almost across the streams. However, good sense prevailed and the university has now decided not to base the UG admissions on the marks secured in Class XII and rather to conduct a joint entrance test for this purpose.
The University of Delhi’s Executive Council on Friday approved admission process in the academic year 2022-23 through Central Universities Common Entrance Test, CUCET. This proposal was passed by the Executive Council after it had already passed by the Academic Council in its meeting held on December 10. According to a senior university official, the administration will now begin working on the modality of the examination. The Executive Council also approved paid maternity leave for adhoc teacher and contractual staff.
