Drive against illegal fishing in Cachar

June 7: In a drive against illegal fishing, a massive drive was conducted at Rupailbali beel in Cachar district on Saturday. Officials of DFDO and AFDC, Cachar along with police personnel jointly conducted the operation.
10 numbers of gill nets were seized as per the Assam Fisheries Rules, 1953.

The Fisheries department authorities said that drive against illegal fishing activities will be intensified in the days ahead.
