Dr Himadri Sekhar Das appointed as Proctor of Assam University

Jan. 4: Dr Himadri Sekhar Das, Associate Professor, Department of Physics was appointed as the Proctor of Assam University, Silchar. He will be replacing Dr Harsha S of the Department of Political Science who was earlier discharging the duties of Proctor. Issuing an order to this effect, Registrar of Assam University stated that Dr Das has been given the assignment of Proctor in addition to his normal duties.

A Proctor in a University usually monitor the disciplinary climate prevailing in the student community and issue all orders relating to disciplinary proceedings against students.
