Dr Giridhari Kar, Anju Endow & Khusi Chanda felicitated by Lions Club of Silchar Central on Teacher’s Day

way2barak, Sept.5: The 61st Teacher’s Day was celebrated with pomp and gaiety by Lions Club of Silchar Central at their seminar hall. The occasion was presided over by Lion Arindam Bhattacharjee, who is also the President of the Club.

Present on the dias were the Chief Guest of the occasion, Prof Rajive Mohan Pant, Vice Chancellor of Assam University, Silchar, Keynote Speaker, Prof. Subhra Nag, Department of Philosophy, Assam University, Dr Giridhari Kar, renowned physician, Anju Endow, Former Lecturer Department of Bengali, Ramanuj Gupta Jr College and Khusi Chanda, Retd Head Teacher, Kuladi Sundari LP School. They were later on joined by MLA Silchar, Dipayan Chakraborty.

During the occasion, Lions Club of Silchar Central felicitated Dr Giridhari Kar, renowned physician, Anju Endow, Former Lecturer Department of Bengali, Ramanuj Gupta Jr College and Khusi Chanda, Retd Head Teacher, Kuladi Sundari LP School with a citation, which were handed over to them by the dignitaries present on the dias.

While conferring the honour upon these teachers, Lion Arindam Bhattacharjee on behalf of Lions Club of Silchar Central stated, “We recognise your lasting contribution to education and society in general and the lives of students in particular, through your patience and dedication. The positive direction given by you all to the students through your hard work has played a crucial role in moulding their career as better and enlightened citizens of tomorrow.”
