Dr. Chandrasekhar Das still under ventilation

February 19: Eminent pediatrician Dr. Chandrasekhar Das is still under ventilation in a private nursing home at Silchar. He was admitted due to hemorrhage on 17 February and since then he is kept under ventilation. As per hospital sources, though his condition is critical but doctors are still hopeful of his recovery. way2barak has confirmed this with the hospital authorities at 10 PM on Wednesday.

Certain news about him in social media circulated on Wednesday afternoon is entirely baseless.

An emergency CT scan of brain was done which revealed an ischaemic stroke involving vital areas of brain. A team of doctors led by Dr Giridhari Kar, Dr Tanushree Deb Gupta, Dr Abhijit Das & Dr Rupankar Nath are engaged in his treatment in consultation with eminent Neurologists from renowned institutes. At present his condition remains critical and he is under ventilator support. However, his vitals are stable and all the doctors are trying their best for his recovery.
