District task force constituted for ensuring Covid-19 protocols in Cachar

April 21: In view of increasing number of positive cases of Covid-19 in Cachar District and to curb the further spread of pandemic among the people of the district ,a task force has been constituted in each revenue circle of Cachar District.

Issuing a letter to this effect on Tuesday, Deputy Commissioner cum Chairperson of District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA Cachar), Keerthi Jalli stated that the task force was constituted with the Circle Officers of the concerned revenue circle office, Assistant Commissioner of revenue circle areas, officers in charge of police stations in each revenue circle and BDOs of each development block.

It was further stated that the task force will monitor Covid-19 protocols which are to be maintained in public places and in market areas. The task force will impose fine of Rs.1000 from each person for non-compliance of Covid-19 protocols. Any violation of Covid-19 protocols will be registered under Section 188 of IPC and Section 51 of Disaster Management Act, 2005.
