District level sensitization workshop on ‘Combating Child Trafficking’ held in Cachar
Aug. 8: On Monday, under the banner of Azadi ka Amrit Mohatsav, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights has identified 75 bordering districts of our country to roll out a 25 days long campaign starting from 1 Aug, 2022 to 25 Aug, 2022 on ‘Combating Child Trafficking’.
NCPCR in collaboration with Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights organized a district level sensitization workshop at the DC Office, Conference Hall Cachar, Assam. Ajoy Kumar Dutta, Member, ASCPCR, chaired the sanitization workshop and presented a presentation on “Combating Child Trafficking”. As a resource person Gaurav Upadhaya, S.P Hailakandi delivered speech on how to combat Child Trafficking in the broader prospect.
The workshop was attended by Mansur Ahmed Mazumdar, ADC, Cachar, CWC Chairperson and Members and all other concerned departments’ viz. Education, Labour, District Child Protection Unit, CHILDLINE etc.
