District level competition of “Assam Sanskritik Mahasangram inaugurated silchar
way2barak, January,17: Silchar MLA Dipayan Chakraborty inaugurated district level competition of “Assam Sanskritik Mahasangrm”2023-24 at Bongo Bhaban here on Wednesday.
Inaugurating the district level competition of Jyoti Sangeet, Vishnu Rabha Geet and Bhupendra Sangeet on the occasion, the chief guest of the event ,MLA, Dipayan Chakraborty said that 17th January is the death anniversary of Jyoti Prasad Agarwala is celebrated as “Shilpi Divas” in the entire state.
He thanked District Commissioner Rohan Kumar Jha for organising the first day of the competition on “Shilpi Divas”.
By paying tribute to Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore, Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha, Rupkonwar Jyoti Prasad Agarwal and Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, he shed light on the lives of poets, great artists, writers-lyricists and called upon the children of the future generations to follow the path so that the children of the district can be enriched with art and culture.
MLA , Dipayan Chakraborty also expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister of the state Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma for his initiatives and efforts to include the state of Assam among the five developed states of the entire country by developing the people of the state in all areas from the fields of art, culture and sports to education, health, income, roads, etc.
MLA Dipayan Chakraborty said that the way the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been identified as a popular leader in the whole world and promoted the development of the entire country, India has been able to achieve a special place in the world economy.
MLA also appealed to lit five lamps in every house on 22nd January ,on the auspicious occasion of establishment of Ram mandir in Ayodhya.
Cachar District Commissioner Rohan Kumar Jha in his speech, explained the purpose of the event said that about 8,500 participated in the competition at the Gaon Panchayat level in Cachar and after completing the group-based competition in stages, the district level competition has started.
He also said that the winners of the competition at the district level can participate in the competition at the state level and the winners in each category will be awarded with the cash prizes and it will be an opportunity for learning through such competitions .
DC Rohan Kumar Jha also congratulated the contestants.
Cachar Superintendent of Police Numal Mahatta, District BJP President Bimalendu Roy, APDCL Director Nitya Bhushan Dey, Lakhipur Municipality Chairman Mrinal Kanti Das also spoke on the occasion.
Officials of the district administration including DDC Rajiv Roy, Cachar Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Ranjeet Kumar Laskar, eminent artists including Amarendra Chakraborty, Sudarshan Dhar, Niloy Kanti Dutta, and Asimananda Biswas also attended the event.
Later the district level competition started and the contestants of Jyoti Sangeet, Bhupendra Sangeet, Vishnu Rabha Geet, participated in the competition.
