৭ ডিসেম্বরঃ পঞ্চায়েত নির্বাচনের প্রচারের একেবারে শেষপর্বে উত্তপ্ত হয়ে উঠেছে ধলাই বিধানসভার আইরংমারা এলাকা। শুক্রবার বিকেলে সেখানে বক্তব্য রাখছিলেন স্থানীয় বিধায়ক তথা রাজ্যের বন-পরিবেশ, আবগারি ও মীন মন্ত্রী পরিমল শুক্লবৈদ্য। সেইসময় সভাস্থলের সামনে দিয়ে যাচ্ছিল কংগ্রেসের বাইক মিছিল। হঠাত উভয় পক্ষে বিবাদ বেঁধে যায়। হাতাহাতি, মারামারি। তাও মন্ত্রীর সামনেই। কীভাবে সংঘর্য বাঁধল, কেউ স্পষ্ট বলতে পারছেন না। তবে কংগ্রেস, বিজেপি পারস্পরিক দোষারোপ করছে।

December 7: Just at the last moment of campaign of Panchayat polls, tension mounted at Irongmara area under Dholai constituency. On Friday evening, State cabinet minister Parimal Suklabaidya was addressing the gathering over there. At that moment, a bike rally of Congress supporters was passing through that way. All of a sudden, alteration of words started between the two camps. This was followed by direct clash. All these were happening in front of the minister. But none could exactly say the actual reason of the conflict.
