District Cell for Women Empowerment organises free gynaecological camp for flood victims

As a part of it’s year long drive on Women Health and Hygiene, the District Cell for Women Empowerment organized a “Free Gynae Camp” on Saturday in the the flood -hit area of Madhura Ghat, Silchar under the able guidance of Dr.SubrataBhattcharjee. A total of 61 beneficiaries received requisite medicines as well.

Later in the afternoon, the Cell distributed relief materials also in the same campus where each of the 61 women were handed over clothes and a bag full of rice, soyabean, pulses, hand sanitizer, biscuit, milk, a bottle of packaged drinking water and mosquito repellent.

The District Chairperson of the Cell Dr Shyamali Kar Bhowal extended gratitude to the SHG ‘Swayambhra’ for providing infrastructural support.
