Dist health deptt announces new venue & schedule for Covid vaccination in Cachar from 18 April

April 17: With the augment of the second wave of coronavirus, the central and the state government has emphasized on getting the dose of Covid-19 vaccine. In Cachar district too, provisions are being made for the masses for getting vaccinated. Meanwhile, on Saturday, state Health Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that more doses of vaccines will be sent to all the districts by 18 or 19 April, 2021.

In an information, circulated by the Additional Chief Medical & Health Officer on Saturday, it was stated that the following information as regards administration of vaccine in Cachar will be applicable from 18 April onwards:

  •  The Urban PHC Trunk Road assigned Venue for Senior Citizen for COVID-19 vaccination.
  • Assam Rifle Jail Road assigned venue for BSF, CRPF and other Frontline Military Troops for COVID-19 Vaccination.
  • From 45 to 59 Years of Age Group Venue assigned Urban FW Unit Civil Hospital for COVID-19 Vaccination.
  • For any kind of Query/ Assistance people were asked to coordinate with the District COVID-19 Vaccination Control  Room— 03842-245717 available from 9 AM to 9 PM excluding government holidays and Sunday
  • As per Protocol, each Vaccine Institution/ Facility is fixed for 100 Beneficiaries per day — 50 beneficiaries ON SPOT and 50 Beneficeries with ONLINE Registration is applicable.
  • As per the Guideline in case of Covishield Vaccine, those beneficiaries who have taken the 1st dose of vaccination were asked to take vaccine within 6th to 8th week after completion of 1st dose and 4th to 6th week in case of Covaxin.

Further, the notification stated that existing Covid-19 protocols will be followed in all the existing health facilities.
