Dist Covid Committee to issue instruction for strict adherence of protocol during Durga Puja
Oct. 1: In a meeting of the District Covid Critical Care Committee (DCCCC) held on Thursday certain crucial decisions were taken. The meeting attended by officials from Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) and health department was chaired by Keerthi Jalli, Deputy Commissioner, Cachar in her conference room. The following decisions were taken in the meeting:
- The satisfactory progress shown by each of the BPHC in terms of RAT performance in last 3 days drive 28 September to 30 September need to be sustained on daily basis in the coming days.
- All BPHC including Silchar Urban have to plan for massive RAT campaign during the coming 12 & 13 October to ensure early testing and to identify the positive cases from the community so that further spread of Covid-19 can be checked during ensuing Durga Puja Festival.
- Strict adherence of Covid protocol during Durga Puja by all Puja Committees will be put in place. Adequate instruction to be issued in this respect.
- All Health facilities including SMCH both in Govt. & Private sector must compulsorily conduct RAT screening of all OPD & IPD patients.
- All Govt. Health facilities have to continue all NON-COVID health services to address the basic health issues.
- All Cleaners engaged in COVID duty to be felicitated on 2nd October. DC mam will felicitate the cleaners working in Covid ward of Cachar Cancer Hospital & Research Centre on 2 October, 2020.
