DGCA grounded pilots of SpiceJet’s flight that overshot the runway in Guwahati airport

Dec. 6: A Bengaluru-Guwahati SpiceJet’s Boeing 737 aircraft overshot the runway at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International airport in Guwahati while landing around 8.30 in the morning on Saturday. There were around 150 passengers on the flight but fortunately all were unhurt. A few lights on the runway were also damaged in the incident. Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has grounded the pilots of SpiceJet’s aircraft and also issued show-cause notices to the pilots and initiated probe into the mishap.
