Dept of Higher Education signs MoU with Infosys; All colleges in Assam to form Digital Learning Cell

July 16: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding access to Digital Platform has been signed between the Department of Higher Education and Infosys Ltd. Henceforth, to provide access to the Digital Learning Platform- Infosys Springboard, the colleges were asked by the Director of Higher Education (DHE), Assam to provide the faculty and student data in a format provided to them.

Moreover, in this matter the College Principals were asked to constitute a “Digital Learning Cell” in the Colleges comprising of one Nodal Officer along with two other members with a mandate to facilitate digital learning.

The requirements of the Digital Learning Cell are:

1. The members need to be adept in digital platform, e-learning initiates and computer based skills
2. The cell will organize awareness drives, workshops for faculty and students about digital learning platforms and certificate courses. The Cell will coordinate with the Directorate of Higher Education for required data and will facilitate the optimal execution of the MoU and overall enhancement of digital learning across HEIs in the state.

This was stated in a letter issued by the DHE Assam to all Principals of Government/ Provincialised/ PDUAM/ GM Colleges of the state on 14 July, 2022.
