Dept of Business Administration of Assam University kick starts Silver Jubilee Lecture Series

way2barak, Nov.11: Department of Business Administration of Assam University, Silchar started its journey in 1997 and is celebrating its Silver Jubilee in the year 2022. As a part of the celebration, the Department organised its first session of its Silver Jubilee Lecture Series on 11 November, 2022  at the Bipin Ch. Pal Seminar Hall of the University on the theme “Management & Leadership Challenges in Globalised Regime: Vision 2050.”

Swami Nikhileshwarananda Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Ashram, Rajkot Centre, a prolific orator, graced the occasion as the esteemed speaker. The session started with the welcome speech delivered by Prof. Amrit Lal Ghosh, Dean, Jawaharlal Nehru School of management Studies. Prof. Rajive Mohan Pant, the Vice Chancellor of the University conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to Swami  Nikhileshwarananda Maharaj for his blessed presence in the University and requested him to provide the opportunity to be able to listen to him in future too.

Swami Nikhileshwarananda Maharaj in his one hour & thirty minutes address emphasised on the need for managers of tomorrow to design business strategies suitable to be implemented for a boundaryless world and stressed upon “servant leadership” to be a successful leader. In his thought provoking deliberation, Swamiji tried to sensitise the audience on the teachings of Swami Vivekananda and various dimensions of his life. he answered the questions raised by the vibrant students.

At the end, Dr Amit Kr. Das, the Coordinator of the programme delivered the vote of thanks. The programme came to an end with the National Anthem. Sneha Dutta, a student of 3rd Semester compered the programme.
