Dedicated District Grievance Redressal Cell for COVID-19 notified in Karimganj district
May 29: A District Grievance Redressal Cell for COVID-19 has been notified in Karimganj district with immediate effect. An order to this effect was issued by Deputy Commissioner cum Chairman, DHS, Khageswar Pegu here on Friday.
The six-member cell is headed by ADC (Health), PK Gupta with Joint Director, Health Services, Dr.AK Daityari, District Surveillance Officer, Dr. BK Singh, DPM, NHM, Hanif Md. K. Alam and DPO, DDMA, Siju Das as members and District Media Expert, Gulbahar Raj as Nodal Officer. The District Grievance Redressal Cell for COVID-19 shall address all COVID-19 related issues immediately. The dedicated phone number is 9394443134.
The grievances received through 104 as well as through dedicated phone number or through
written communication or through social media posts will be redressed by the cell, besides according top priority to matters relating to COVID treatment and last rites of COVID victims.
The cell will make follow up calls to confirm the status of grievances redressed and satisfaction level of the complainant(s) through the District Call Centre for COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the district administration has put in place a dedicated telemedicine facility with helpline number 9864841529 for COVID-19 patients in home isolation. Also a dedicated call centre has been operationalised for providing medical support to COVID positive patients in home isolation from 10 am to 5 pm.
