DDIPR Barak Valley Zone bids adieu to MCP Cultural Wing Dr. Juri Goswami in Silchar

way2barak, Nov 29: The Office of the Deputy Director of Information & Public Relations (DDIPR), Barak Valley Zone, Silchar, on saturday bade an emotional and dignified farewell to Dr. Juri Goswami, Manager-cum-Producer (Cultural Wing), marking the conclusion of her long and distinguished career dedicated to cultural service and public communication.

The farewell gathering at the DDIPR office premises drew officers, staff, artists and former colleagues who came together to honour her contributions. Dr. Goswami began her journey as a Cultural Staff Artist in Guwahati in 1988 and went on to participate in numerous government cultural programmes across the region and several states during her service tenure. Her artistic capability, leadership in cultural coordination and commitment to promoting regional heritage have left a lasting imprint on the department.

 Speaking on the occasion , Assistant Commissioner and In-Charge of DDIPR Barak Valley Zone, Smt. Deepa Das highlighted Dr. Goswami’s dedication, discipline and creative vision. She said that Dr. Goswami’s ability to guide artistes, execute cultural projects with precision and maintain professional integrity made her an invaluable asset to the Cultural Wing. Smt. Das also acknowledged her warmth and simplicity, qualities that earned her deep respect among colleagues and artists equally.

UD Assistant Shri Manimoy Dey shared heartfelt reflections on working alongside her, stating that her supportive nature and meticulous approach to every assignment set a high standard within the office. He emphasised that her absence would be deeply felt by the team. Former cultural staff member Shri Dilip Sinha also spoke with emotion, recalling years of collaboration and describing her as a compassionate colleague who always encouraged teamwork and upheld the spirit of cultural expression in government initiatives.

In her farewell address, Dr. Juri Goswami expressed profound gratitude to the DDIPR family, recalling her long journey since joining in 1988 and the invaluable experiences she gained while representing the department in cultural events across various regions and states. She said her career had been a fulfilling and memorable chapter shaped by the cooperation, affection and shared purpose of her colleagues. She extended heartfelt thanks to all officers, staff and artists for their constant support and conveyed her best wishes for the continued success of the department.
