DC Keerthi Jalli takes stock of COVID-19 situation at SMCH
করোনা পরিস্থিতি নিয়ে মেডিক্যালে বৈঠক করলেন ডিসি জল্লি

১১ মে : কোভিড-১৯ সংক্রান্ত চিকিতসা ব্যবস্থা খতিয়ে দেখতে সোমবার শিলচর মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতাল পরিদর্শন করলেন নবাগত জেলাশাসক কীর্তি জল্লি। জেলাশাসক এ দিন মেডিক্যালের অধ্যক্ষ ডাঃ বাবুল বেজবরুয়ার সঙ্গে এক বৈঠকেও মিলিত হন। এই বৈঠকে করোনা চিকিতসায় যুক্ত থাকা চিকিতসক ও অন্য আধিকারিকরাও অংশ নেন। জল্লি গত শনিবারই কাছাড়ের নতুন জেলাশাসক হিসেবে দায়িত্ব নিয়েছেন।

বৈঠকে জেলাশাসক কোভিড-১৯ ওয়ার্ডে চিকিৎসাধীন রোগীদের অবস্থা সম্পর্কে জেনে নেন। চিকিতসা প্রক্রিয়ায় হাসপাতাল কর্তৃপক্ষ যেসব সমস্যার মুখোমুখি হচ্ছেন, সে বিষয়ে অবগত হন জেলাশাসক। অধ্যক্ষ ডাঃ বেজবরুয়া হাসপাতালের পরিষেবাকে প্রভাবিত করছে, এমন বাধাগুলি তুলে ধরেন। এসব বিষয়ে প্রতিক্রিয়া জানিয়ে জেলাশাসক আশ্বাস দেন, সমস্যাগুলি খুব শীঘ্রই সমাধান করা হবে। পরে জেলাশাসক অতিরিক্ত জেলাশাসক সুমিত সাত্তাওয়ানের সঙ্গে বিভিন্ন ওয়ার্ড, ব্লাড ব্যাংক এবং পরীক্ষাগার পরিদর্শন করেন।

জেলাশাসক গত কয়েক মাস ধরে করোনা পরিস্থিতি মোকাবিলায় লড়াইয়ে অংশ নেওয়ার জন্য সব কর্মীদের প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করেন। তিনি কোভিড-১৯ রোগীদের চিকিত্সায় নিযুক্ত ডাক্তারদের ধন্যবাদ জানান। পরে জেলাশাসক কীর্তি জল্লি প্রায় ৬৩১ একর জুড়ে বিস্তৃত হাসপাতাল ক্যাম্পাসের একটি সমীক্ষা নেন। এই সময়ে ডাঃ ভাস্কর গুপ্ত, সুপারিনটেনডেন্ট, ডাঃ অভিজিৎ স্বামী এবং অন্যান্য চিকিৎসকরাও উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

May 11: On assuming charge just two days ago, the new Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, Keerthi Jalli has set herself in action. On Monday, DC Jalli visited Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) to take stock of the COVID-19 related treatment facilities and medical services in the hospital.

There at SMCH, Keerthi Jalli held a meeting with the Principal, Dr. Babul Kumar Bezbaruah. Doctors engaged in COVID-19 treatment and other administrative officials were also present. in the meeting. She was apprised about the status of the COVID-19 positive patients who are now undergoing treatment at SMCH. Dr. Bezbaruah highlighted the hurdles which are affecting services at the hospital. Reacting to the issues, Jalli assured that the problems would be addressed soon.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner, accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sumit Sattwan inspected all the wards, blood bank and pathological laboratories. She also visited the Microbiology department & personally took stock of the equipment used for testing coronavirus. During the survey of the various departments, she was also briefed about the issues related to PWD in the campus of SMCH.

Jalli expressed her gratitude to all the staff for their dedicated and committed service over the past few months, especially during the hazardous situation caused by outbreak of coronavirus. She also expressed thanks to all the doctors engaged in the treatment of COVID-19 patients. She also went around the hospital campus which is spread over around 631 acres. Vice Principal of SMCH, Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Superintendent, SMCH, Dr. Abhijit Swami and other doctors were also present.
