DC Karimganj & Hailakandi reviews preparation at Badarpur Station for special trains
May 12: As the railways have initiated special trains and also in the coming days more new trains will start running on the tracks. But with the starting of railway services, there remains a great risk of further spread of coronavirus. All throughout the country, detailed arrangement are in progress to do proper screening of the passengers who will arrive by the special trains. In Barak Valley too, the district administration is geared up.
On Tuesday, Anbamuthan MP, Deputy Commissioner of Karimganj along with counterpart in Hailakandi, Megha Nidhi Dahal visited Badarpur Railway Station. They were accompanied by Railway Area Manager S Umesh and other higher officials. The two Deputy Commissioners along with the officials went around the station complex at Badarpur. They prepared a detailed blueprint of how the railway staff along with health staff would segregate passengers coming by special trains. Plans were also discussed as regards keeping passengers under institutional quarantine.
