DC directs development departments to utilise working season for completion of projects

Nov. 9: Deputy Commissioner, Megh Nidhi Dahal reviewed the status of ongoing development schemes and projects in the district.

Reviewing the status of schemes and projects at his office conference hall here on Monday, Deputy Commissioner Dahal directed the major development departments to work on a war footing during the current working season for early completion of the projects that have been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the APDCL to ensure uninterrupted power supply following complaints from the public of frequent power cuts.

Dahal also instructed the District Transport Officer to organise an orientation camp in association with the traffic wing of the district police to curb the traffic violations. As part of the plan, the traffic personnel on duty will post photos of traffic violations to an app like the traffic suraksha enforcers for initiating action against the offenders by the transport authorities.

The Deputy Commissioner asked the PWD to expedite work for improvement of border roads as well as roads in forest areas. The meeting was attended by District Development Commissioner, Vikram Dev Sharma, ADC, Narendra Kumar Shah, CEO, Zilla Parishad, Jaydeep Shukla and district heads of different departments.
