Daily wage of Home Guards enhanced from existing ₹300 to ₹767; monthly wage reach ₹23,010

way2barak, Oct.19: A key arm of Assam Police, Home Guards play a crucial role in maintaining law & order. Fulfilling the long-standing demand of around 24,000 Home Guards, the state government has  approved enhancement of their daily wage to ₹767 from existing ₹300, thus increasing their monthly wages to ₹23,010. This was informed by Chief Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday.
