Creative Foundation to come up with educational hub ‘Knowledge City’ at Srikona
Foundation stone of 'Knowledge City' to be laid on 26 January
Jan. 25: A state of the art educational hub entitled ‘Knowledge City’ conceptualised by Creative Foundation is going to be constructed at Srikona in Cachar. The foundation stone of the ‘Knowledge City’ will be laid on 26 January at 1.30 PM by Swami Mrinmoyananda Maharaj of Bharat Sevashram Sangha in presence of Cabinet Minister Parimal Suklabaidya, MLA Silchar Dilip Kumar Paul, Deputy Speaker Aminul Haque Laskar, DC Cachar Keerthi Jalli, Vice Chancellor of Assam University, Prof. Dilip Chandra Nath, Former Minister Kabindra Purkayastha and Silchar MP Dr. Rajdeep Roy.
Speaking about this venture, Kalipada Das, Chairman of Creative Foundation said, “The Knowledge City will include International Schools, College and Skill Training Centers and many other such institutes conducive for career development of the students of Barak Valley. Further, it would also generate employment for the youths of this valley. This ‘Knowledge City’ will be built at Srikona’s Lalmati in Cachar District.”
He further informed that so far as the skill development is concerned, Creative Foundation has been undertaking such ventures since 2014, when the Ministry of Skill and Entrepreneurship was formed. The project will be completed soon and the details of the ‘Knowledge City’ will be unveiled during the foundation stone laying ceremony on 26 January, quipped Kalipada Das.
