Covishield at 4 centres & Covaxin at 2 centres to be given in Silchar on 23 August

Aug 22: Dr Reema Patao, Medical Officer of Urban Family Welfare Unit, Silchar on Friday stated that on-spot vaccination session for those above 18 years of age will take place at four centres in Silchar on Monday, where both Covaxin and Covishield will be provided. A total of 1200 doses of Covishield and 400 doses of Covaxin will be provided on 23 August.

The vaccination centres are:

1. Nazirpatty Model School: Both 1st dose (100 shots) and 2nd dose (200 shots) will be given on the basis of on-spot registration. That means, a total of 300 doses of Covishield will be administered in this centre on 23 August. Also, 200 doses of Covaxin (2nd dose) will be provided here.
2. Abhya Charan Patshala, Sadarghat, Silchar: Senior citizens will be provided Covishield on the basis of on-spot registration. 100 1st dose and 200 2nd dose Covishield will be provided here for senior citizens on 23 August.
3. Urban PHC, Trunk Road : Both 1st dose (100 shots) and 2nd dose (200 shots) will be given on the basis of on-spot registration to government staff and public. Also, 200 doses of Covaxin (2nd dose) will be provided here.
4. Lalita Das Balika Vidyalaya, Bilpar: Both 1st dose (100 shots) and 2nd dose (200 shots) will be given on the basis of on-spot registration.
