Covid vaccines to be given at 2 centres in Silchar on 11 August

Aug 10: Dr Reema Patao, Medical Officer of Urban Family Welfare Unit, Silchar on Tuesday stated that both online and on-spot vaccination session for those above 18 years of age will take place at two centres in Silchar on Wednesday, where both Covaxin and Covishield will be provided. A total of 1,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine will be administered on 11 August in Silchar town.

The 2 vaccination centres are:

1. Nazirpatty Model School: Only 2nd dose vaccines will be provided on the basis of online slot booking. A total of 300 doses of Covishield will be provided in this school on 11 August. Apart from this, 200 doses of Covaxin (2nd dose) will also be administered at this centre on 11 August on the basis of on-spot registration.
2. Urban PHC, Trunk Road (For Govt staff & public): Only 2nd dose vaccines will be provided on the basis of online slot booking (100 doses) and on-spot registration (200 doses). At this centre, vaccines will be provided to both government staff & public. A total of 300 doses of Covishield will be provided in this school on 11 August. Further, another 200 doses of Covaxin (2nd dose) will be given in this centre on the basis of on-spot registration on 11 August.
