Covid test on arrival at airports & railway stations in Assam again made mandatory

ওয়েটুবরাক, ১৬ জুলাই : করোনা সংক্রমণ ঠেকাতে ভ্যাকসিনেশন সার্টিফিকেটের ছাড় তুলে দিয়েছে আসাম সরকার৷ বৃহস্পতিবার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে, দুই ডোজ কোভিড ভ্যাকসিনের সার্টিফিকেট থাকলেও আসামে এলে করোনা টেস্ট করাতেই হবে৷

স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার কল্যাণ দফতরের প্রিন্সিপাল সেক্রেটারি অনুরাগ গোয়েল জানিয়েছেন, বেশ কয়েকটি ঘটনায় দেখা গিয়েছে, দুই ডোজ ভ্যাকসিন গ্রহণের পরও মানুষ করোনায় আক্রান্ত হচ্ছেন৷ তাই তাঁরা ভ্যাকসিনেশন সার্টিফিকেট থাকলে কোভিড টেস্ট থেকে ছাড় দেওয়ার পুরনো নির্দেশ প্রত্যাহার করে নিয়েছেন৷ এখন বিমানে বা রেলে আসামে এলেই কোভিড টেস্ট করাতে হবে৷

July 16: Assam government on 25 June, 2021 had notified that people who have been vaccinated with two doses of Covid-19 vaccine are to be exempted from mandatory testing on arrival at airports and railway stations in Assam. However, on 15 July, 2021, the state government through a notification has withdrawn this order and issued new directives.

Issuing a fresh order on 15 July, Assam government notified, “COVID positivity is observed even in some of the person(s) who have received two doses of vaccination in a few instances.” As such, the exemption granted to passengers who were already vaccinated with two doses shall from now onwards have to undergo mandatory testing on arrival at airports or railway stations in Assam.
